-> ARTICLE #1: Reloading Web Pages (Bypassing Your Cache) ======
---> Relevant for ALL WSO Customers ============================
================================================================
Your web browser uses a cache system to help web pages load
faster by reading known files from your hard drive rather than
going out to the web server to get them.
Unfortunately, when you are in the middle up making changes to
your web site this can become frustrating as your browser can
become confused.
To make sure that you are seeing the newest version of a web
page, and the graphics on that page, click on the reload or
refresh button while holding down one of the following keys:
For Netscape Navigator: Click Reload while holding the SHIFT key
For Microsoft Explorer: Click Refresh while holding the CTRL key
This little tip can save you quite a few headaches, hope it
hopes you out sometime.

-> ARTICLE #2: Server Software Upgrades ========================
---> Relevant for ALL WSO Customers ============================
================================================================
As always, we like to keep our server software up to date. Over
the last few weeks we have upgraded MySql, PHP, various Perl
modules, Miva Empresa, and Qpopper.

-> ARTICLE #3: State of The Palace =============================
---> Relevant for WSO Palace Customers =========================

The Palace, a graphical chat environment, has gone through some
tough times lately. Danny (our resident Palace expert) has put
together a summary of what has happened and where the Palace is
going.
Danny writes...
Palace is still growing strong, thanks to all of the users who
are sticking together to help keep it alive. Communities.com
announced that they'd discontinue their support for all The
Palace products several months ago. Since then, groups have
formed and people have really shown solidarity. The strongest
group is PalaceTools.com. They have lots of useful information
and links for The Palace. Check out their site for ideas.
Communities.com still owns the rights to Palace (as far as we
know). In the Terms of Service agreement with CC/EC/TPI, you
agree not to distribute The Palace Client, The Palace Server,
or any other Communities.com products.
Communities.com set up several client download links that are
officially supported by them. There are links to the downloads
at PalaceTools.com, so if you have a site, you may want to link
to that site or go there and copy the link urls.
Recently, there have been a few rumors about Palace being bought
by another company. Communities.com has made no official
statement about this, but if this does happen, they'd probably
let us know.
From what we've heard, Palace client clones are being designed
for both Macintosh and Windows platforms. There has not been
much information about this given out, but they are being
developed. There is no set release date for these clients since
they have to be built from scratch by non-profit programmers.
These clones will not be supported by CC, but will contain many
missing features and fix lots of security flaws. Unfortunately,
we do not know much about the compatibility issues surrounding
these new clones. Stay tuned!
