-> ARTICLE #1: Introducing the WSO SupportCenter ===============
---> Relevant for ALL account types ============================
================================================================
Beginning May 1st, 1998 every WSO customer will have access to
their own personal support area. We are calling it the WSO
SupportCenter.
An easy to remember URL of http://www.wso.net/support.htm will
link you to the login screen. You will need your new "browser
based" authentication information. This is not the same as the
user name and password you picked when you signed up. We have
assigned this new authentication information to you. You should
have received it via e-mail. If not, please contact us at
support@wso.net to get your new "browser based" authentication
information.
Currently the WSO SupportCenter is rather sparse. After logging
in you will have access to our re-vamped Tech Support area, as
well as easier access to your web site logs, included the
Instant Stats program.
New to the SupportCenter this month is the ability to check your
disk space usage through the browser. Please try it out and let
us know how it works for you. Please be aware that currently
customers with multiple user accounts under their home directory
will not be able to check their disk usage. We hope to make this
available in the near future.
We will be adding new features to the WSO SupportCenter each
month, and we'll tell you about them here.
Again, please let us know if you have suggestions or have any
problems with the new SupportCenter... thank you!

-> ARTICLE #2: Using CGIwrap for CGIs ==========================
---> Relevant for NV, BC, VD account types =====================
================================================================
CCIwrap is a program that allows CGIs called from a browser
to run with the permissions of the user who owns the file. This
is much more secure than letting the program run with the
permissions of the web server. Currently some users are still
running CGIs without the use of CGIwrap. We will soon be
requiring that CGIwrap be used for *all* CGI programs. Please
read more about CGIwrap in the CGI section of the Tech Support
area.

-> ARTICLE #3: Old 'nph-count2' Counter Program to be Shut Down
---> Relevant for ALL account types ============================
================================================================
Some of our long-time customers may still be using the
'nph-count2' counter program to provide an odometer type graphic
hit counter on their web pages. If you have links like the
following in your pages then you are using this program:
IMG SCR="http://www.wso.net/cgi-bin/nph-count2/page_name_here"
You will need to upgrade to the WWW Count program we now offer.
This is a much more flexible and robust counter program. Full
details on how to use WWW Count are in the new Tech Support
area. If you need some help just let us know.
We will remove 'nph-count2' on June 1, 1998.
