-> ARTICLE #1: March Update on Account Moves ===================
---> Relevant for ALL WSO Customers ============================
================================================================

Unfortunately we did not reach our goal to have all Virtual
Domain and Commerce Plus accounts moved by the end of February.
Because of the effort we are making to ensure a smooth
transition for each account, it is taking much longer than
expected. Of course this is a worthwhile trade-off, we hope
you'll agree.

After all the Virtual Domain and Commerce Plus accounts are
moved we will begin moving the FP Only, Non-Virtual, and Budget
Commerce accounts. Again, each customer will be notified
individually about their account and its move status.

Accounts that we believe will not need to be changed at all will
be moved automatically and you'll be notified after the move.
We will notify customers individually about accounts that need
special care before moving.

See previous WSO Newsletters for more info. A link to all of
the back issues is at the top of this newsletter.

================================================================
-> ARTICLE #2: Search Engine Submission in Testing Phase =======
---> Relevant for ALL WSO Customers ============================
================================================================

One of the new benefits that we have discussed recently was the
addition of a search engine submission service. Right now the
new WSO service is in the testing phase with real WSO customers
testing the new service.

Remember, each new and existing WSO customer will receive one
FREE search and link engine submission for their WSO hosted web
site. The procedure will involve filling out a form that you
can access from the WSO SupportCenter. The form page will
contain detailed information as well as tips and tricks to
prepare your site for submission. Within about one week after
you fill out the form in the SupportCenter we will submit your
site to over 3500 search and link engines. An e-mail report will
be generated and mailed to you after the submission takes place.

Subsequent submissions can be ordered for only five dollars
each. That's right, only $5 bucks! More elaborate submissions
that include more detailed analysis and tracking can be ordered
for an increased price.

After your free submission you can have your site automatically
re-submitted on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis,
if you desire. This helps to keep your site fresh with the
search and link engines.

Watch for more details next month when we roll out the final
product.

================================================================
-> ARTICLE #3: Better Form Results E-Mail for FrontPage Users ==
---> Relevant for VD & CP Users ================================
================================================================

If you are a Virtual Domain or Commerce Plus customer who uses
the Microsoft FrontPage software to create submission forms,
then this article is for you.

If you fall into the above category you may have noticed that if
you have the results of a form submission sent to you via e-mail
the FROM address on the e-mail looks strange. Instead of the
FROM address being 'your_username@your_domain.com' it is more
like 'your_username@server_name.com'.  Basically, instead of
your domain name being in the FROM address, it is our servers'
machine name. This is a strange quirk in FrontPage that up
until now has gone unfixed. Well, a few hours with the
FrontPage tech support people has changed all of that!

Normally we are pretty hard on Microsoft, but the people that
do their FrontPage tech support are great, and they helped us
get this solved.

What we've done is hard coded into each FrontPage virtual domain
configuration file the 'MailSender' variable. By default we've
assigned it to be 'your_username@your_domain.com'. If you have
a specific reason that requires this to be something different,
send your request to support@wso.net. Tell us your domain name
and what e-mail address you'd like to appear in the FROM line
when results are sent from a FrontPage created form.

This was a tricky little problem that we are happy to put to
rest. Hope you find some benefit in it as well.

================================================================
-> ARTICLE #4: Where Did My Logs Go? ===========================
---> Relevant for ALL Users ====================================
================================================================

If you are one of our customers who has been moved to a new
server, you may have noticed that you can no longer view your
log analysis directly from a web browser. Some customers felt
this is a privacy issue.

You now can view it from within the password protected WSO
SupportCenter. You can view an instant analysis of your logs
from midnight to the present, or your cumulative log analysis
that starts from the beginning of the month until midnight the
night before, depending on how you have your log rotation
settings configured.

If you have your log settings configured to save your old log
analysis, you'll need to download them using an FTP program or
the FrontPage Explorer. There is currently no facility to view
anything other than the two analysis mentioned above from the
SupportCenter.

Logs under the new server system are stored just below your
web home directory in the directory called 'logs'.
